In this fast-moving and tech-savvy day and age, people are turning to devices that will ease their daily routine and at the same time, they wanna look smart and chic while using it. It’s no wonder that phone manufacturers nowadays are coming up with better SmartPhones to fuel the needs and desire of its consumers.
SPEED is the bottom-line in which all these consumers are looking for (or most of them anyway) and with that said, let’s take a look at some of the up-coming and rumoured 6GB RAM SmartPhones.
Vivo Xplay 5 Elite
This phone manufacturer from Beijing has made the world's first smartphone with 6GB of RAM. Many of you may not have heard of Vivo's name but this company isn't new in the world of smartphones. With this new device, they are sure to make their name more well-known in time to come.
Here are some of the specs for the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite:
- 5.43" Quad HD AMOLED Display
- Curved display on both sides
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core
- 16MP Sony IMX298 camera with a dual-tone LED flash
- 3600 mAh battery
- 6GB RAM
- 128GB storage
- Fingerprint scanner
The phone is made almost entirely out of an aluminium magnesium alloy, with ergonomic curves at the back sides to help your grip. From the pictures online, this looks to be a well-built and stylish looking phone. At 7.59 mm (0.30 inches) thickness, it's a surprise that Vivo is able to fit a 3600 mAh battery in its thin body but I would have personally expected a bigger sized battery because let’s face it, the way we use our smartphones and the apps we use would normally drain most of the battery before the day is over.
The Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is currently in pre-order stage and is said to be roughly priced at USD600 once it's out.
Seems like a lot of China-based phone manufacturers are coming out with high-end specs smartphones and Vernee, another brand from China is trying to make its mark with their flagship Vernee Apollo.
Apart from the notable 6GB RAM, this phone is also using MediaTek’s newest Helio X20 (MT6797) which is running a deca-core (10 cores) processor which makes it stands out from the rest.
Here are the specs for the Vernee Apollo:
- 5.5-inch screen
- 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution
- MediaTek Helio X20 chipset
- 6GB of RAM
- 128GB storage
- 21MP Sony IMX230 camera module
- 8MP camera in front for selfies and video chats
- Type-C USB port and the Apollo will also support Force Touch capabilities.
- Android Marshmallow out of the box
Now THIS would be a smartphone to look forward to and with a 21MP Sony IMX230 camera and its 128GB of storage space, you SELFIE demons out there would definitely love it and you won't have to worry about not having enough memory in your phone.
Xiaomi Mi 5
Here's a smartphone most users in Asia would be familiar about and yes, it's a another China-based phone - Xiaomi, a name that's pretty common if you're looking for a smartphone with quality hardware and specs at bargain prices.
Here are the specs for the Xiaomi Mi 5:
- 2.15 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC
- 5.2" display
- 16MP front facing camera
- 4MP rear camera
- USB Type-C port
- 64GB storage
- 6GB RAM
- 2910 mAh battery
There are talks of variants for this particular model, one with a 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6
Now here's a brand name everybody would know, the South-Korean smartphone giant – SAMSUNG with its latest rumoured Galaxy Note 6 will be coming out and being a SAMSUNG fan myself, I’m definitely looking forward to the launch of this device.
Here are the specs for the Galaxy Note 6:
- 12MP rear camera with Super OIS
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB / 128GB storage
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor
- 4000 mAh battery
- 5.8-inch display
- 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution
These are some of the rumoured specs for the phone but I'll be looking forward for the final specs once this device is officially out. Can't wait to get my hands on it and see what this "beast" is capable of.
Let's just keep our fingers crossed and take these rumoured devices with a pinch of salt and wait for them to be officially launched. As far as we all know, smartphones are getting better in terms of hardware and features and it's no surprised that one day, these smartphones will replace desktops and laptops in the very near future.
