I still remember when I first heard of the TicWatch Pro by Mobvoi in 2018. I was really impressed with the specs and features of the watch which is why it didn’t take long for me to decide to get it the day it was launched around July 2018.
FIRST IMPRESSION
When I first took it out of the box, I was impressed with the finishing. The look and feel of the watch were premium and feels good on the wrist.
REASONS WHY I LIKE IT
"When I first took it out of the box, I was impressed with the finishing"
The most noticeable thing about TicWatch Pro’s dual screens is undoubtedly what distinguishes it from other Wear OS devices available on the market. It includes that familiar full-color screen and a low-powered display that can be utilized to save battery life.
Additionally, the TicWatch Pro will have the greatest rating for water resistance of all their previous devices. The Pro can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes thanks to its IP68 rating. It doesn’t appear to be prepared for a day in the pool, but if it gets wet or is submerged for a short time, it should be alright.
It now features two physical buttons on the right side of the case, which is another change in both aesthetic and functionality. Since the bottom button can be programmed, hopefully we’ll be able to hit a button to rapidly access health statistics or anything else we’d like to view.
In addition, it will contain 4 GB of on-board audio storage and integrated GPS
Compared to the TicWatch 2, which had a more gender-neutral design, the TicWatch Pro seems to have a more masculine aspect. The band could be changed to a different color or design to make it appear less masculine. We shall see. In either case, I still believe it’s a stylish watch.
