The Razer Aether Range Is The Brand Barging Into Smart Lighting Market

Gaming peripheral brand Razer has made stuff that’s pretty far removed from keyboards, mice, controllers and headsets, but still tangentially related to gaming. So far, the list includes a range of chairs, skins for the PS5, MacBooks and the Steam Deck, even a reusable straw. With the Razer Aether family of smart lighting products, the brand has pushed things even further.

The most basic item among them is the Razer Aether Light Bulb, which is about as straightforward a name as can be. It comes in the A19 form factor, as well as a choice of E26 or E27 screws, allowing them to fit just about anywhere that you’d expect a light bulb to be found. As you’d expect from the brand, it comes with support for Chroma RGB, with its white colour temperature also ranging between 1700 and 6500K, while brightness is rated at up to 800 lumens.

Following that, there are the Razer Aether Lamp, as well as a Pro variant. These don’t go as bright as the simple light bulb, topping out at 300 and 500 lumens, respectively. On the flip side, they provide omnidirectional lighting. Naturally, the Pro version takes it a step further by also having multi-zone lighting, which you can configure like any other Chroma RGB accessory. The Pro also comes with tactile controls at the top for adjustments on the fly.

And finally, there’s the Razer Aether Light Strip. The starting set comes with a 2m light strip, but you can buy more and daisy chain them for a maximum of 10m. Once again, there’s Chroma RGB for your desired ambient rainbow.

The entire Razer Aether range has Bluetooth support, and works with the Matter connectivity standard, as well as Alexa and Google Assistant. These pair with your phone, allowing you to craft your perfect personal lighting setup via the mobile app known as Gamer Room.

All of these items are listen on the official Razer online store for our market, but they don’t yet come with a price or availability dates. Looking at their US prices, the Razer Aether Light Bulb is priced at US$90 (~RM422) for a pack of two, while the Lamp and Lamp Pro cost US$80 (~RM375) and US$130 (~RM609) respectively. The Light Strip shares a price tag with the Lamp Pro.
