Archie Rose Distilling Co. has officially launched a smashing line-up of its award-winning spirits right here in Malaysia, partnering with local importer and distributor Single & Available. Established in 2014 in Sydney, Australia, Archie Rose has gained a reputation for producing a diverse range of premium whiskies, gins, vodkas, and rums. With a strong focus on innovation, authenticity, and quality, the distillery takes pride in crafting unmistakably Australian spirits using locally sourced ingredients and sustainable practices.
Signature Dry Gin and Native Botanical Vodka
Archie Rose’s core lineup, known as the Signature Range, includes the Single Malt Whisky, an eight-time winner of Australia’s Best Single Malt Whisky, and the Rye Malt Whisky, a three-time winner of the World’s Best Rye Whisky. Other notable offerings include the Signature Dry Gin and Native Botanical Vodka, both of which have garnered prestigious accolades. In addition to the Signature Range, Archie Rose presents limited edition releases, such as the Rum Cask Single Malt Whisky – Cask Strength, Smoked Heritage Rye Malt Whisky, and the award-winning Bone Dry Gin, all of which are now available for purchase in Malaysia. We were able to sample the entire Signature Range at the launch event, and it’s certainly accurate to say that the massive haul of domestic and international awards – over 400 to date – that Archie Rose has amassed is genuinely well-earned. These are some of the best spirits coming out of Australia today, bar none.
Beyond the quality of its spirits, this distillery gets plenty of other things right, too. Committed to sustainability, Archie Rose is known for its use of eco-friendly production methods and ethically sourced ingredients. The distillery has established partnerships with local Australian growers to source 100% of the malts used in its whiskies and incorporates recycled materials, such as citrus peels and spent walnut shells, in its production process. The company’s efforts to reduce environmental impact also include repurposing spent grains to feed cattle and utilising biochar heating in the drying process.
Rye Malt Whisky and Single Malt Whisky
Archie Rose’s unique production methods further set the brand apart. The distillery employs a patented “individual malt” process for whisky, which allows each malt to be milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, and matured separately. For its gins, Archie Rose uses specially designed copper pot/column hybrid vacuum stills to “cold distill” botanical distillates, preserving the delicate flavours of the botanicals.
The launch in Malaysia will see the Signature Range available at Single & Available outlets in Bangsar Shopping Centre and Plaza Damas, as well as the retailer’s online store. Retail prices range from RM268 for the Native Botanical Vodka and RM288 for the Signature Dry Gin to RM529 for limited-edition releases like the Rum Cask Single Malt Whisky – Cask Strength and the Smoked Heritage Rye Malt Whisky. We tasted them all, and trust us – there’s not a weak spot in the entire line-up.
