What appears to be a Xiaomi 15 Pro has been spotted in the wild, courtesy of a user on Weibo. Shared on the social media platform is a photo of the device held in the hand of Xiaomi vice president Wang Xiaoyan, though the only part visible is its camera array.
While it seems that the phone could be mistaken for its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, what really sets it apart is the LED flash which is now positioned outside of the camera island. As you may recall, this particular design was showcased in renderings of the Xiaomi 15 Pro shared by leakster That_Kartikey earlier this month.

It is said that the redesigned camera array was necessary to accommodate the phone’s new periscope 50MP telephoto camera, which also features a 5x telemacro unit with a 30cm minimum focus distance. This is accompanied by two other 50MP sensors for the primary and ultra-wide shooters. As before, all three will feature lenses that are co-developed with the company’s partner, Leica.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is also rumoured to sport a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with 2k resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 32MP selfie camera, as well as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB storage. Meanwhile, its battery is believed to have a capacity of 6,000mAh, featuring 90W wired, 80W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging capabilities.

Other than that, the phone is expected to come in black, white, silver, and titanium. The latter is likely marketed to be a limited edition.
According to a separate leak on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 series could launch in China later this month, on 20 October 2024. It is quite likely that the new flagship line-up might only be available globally by next year.
