As the weather gets nicer, the siren song of the outdoors gets louder. Whether you’ve got a mountain trail, forested campsite, or national park visit on the agenda, you’ll need a good pair of hiking boots. Luckily, Merrell has a great pair of water-resistant hikers, a particularly striking member of their beloved Moab collection, on sale for half its normal price.
Merrell Moab 3 Stitch Mid Hiking Boots are currently just $65 instead of the $130 they normally cost. Reviewers write that they were “very impressed” with these “very comfortable and warm” boots with a fit they simply describe as “amazing.” They also note that the size and width of the shoes are standard, no need to size up or down from what you normally wear.

These boots have an upper made of pig suede leather and breathable mesh, with a bellows tongue to keep out debris. The midsole has Merrell’s Super Rebound Compound for durable shock absorption and the outsole is a Vibram TC5+, a model known for its traction. The air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability to the boot. It all adds up to a they-thought-of-everything hiking boot with a striking design.
“All I wear are Merrell shoes. I have more than 10 pairs,” wrote one happy customer and highly qualified reviewers. These particular boots “support your ankles very well” and provide “great traction on rock or any terrain.”
Another repeat customer wrote that they’ve “been in love with the Moabs for a long time,” particularly the mid-top editions like this shoe. They said that they can “easily get two years out of them,” and that’s with daily wear. If durability is a concern of yours—and when is it not when you’re shopping for outdoor gear—these boots meet the mark.
Merrell Moab 3 Stitch Mid Hiking Boots would be a great addition to any outdoorsy person’s rotation. And while the Moab line isn’t going anywhere, this particularly great deal on a particularly great-looking pair will end on Mar. 17 as long as stock doesn’t dry up before then.
